New Delhi, June 27: The Indian Air Force (IAF) has begun the recruitment process for Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) Group C Civilian posts under Advertisement No. 02/2026, inviting eligible Indian citizens to apply through the offline mode. Interested candidates must submit their completed application forms by July 27, 2026, as per the official notification.
The recruitment drive aims to fill six vacancies for the MTS post under Headquarters Maintenance Command. Applications are being accepted only through postal submission to the designated Air Force unit, with no online application facility available.
Candidates applying for the posts must have passed Class 10 (Matriculation) from a recognized board. The prescribed age limit is 18 to 25 years as of July 27, 2026, while age relaxation will be provided to eligible reserved category candidates in accordance with Government of India rules.
One of the notable aspects of the recruitment process is that no application fee has been prescribed for candidates from any category.
Selection Through Written Examination
The selection process will consist solely of a written examination. Before issuing admit cards, authorities will scrutinize applications to verify candidates' age, educational qualifications, and other supporting documents.
The written test will cover four sections:
General Intelligence and Reasoning
Numerical Aptitude
General English
General Awareness
The examination paper will be available in both English and Hindi. Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be required to present their original certificates during the document verification process.
Offline Application Process
Applicants must submit their applications in the prescribed Annexure-I format, either typed in English or Hindi. A recent self-attested passport-size photograph must be affixed to the application, along with two additional passport-size photographs of the same image.
Candidates are also required to attach self-attested copies of documents supporting their educational qualifications, age, technical qualifications, work experience, disability status (where applicable), and caste or category certificates. OBC candidates must provide a valid Non-Creamy Layer Certificate, while applicants under the EWS category must submit the prescribed Income and Asset Certificate.
The application package should also include a self-addressed envelope affixed with a ₹10 postage stamp, and the envelope must clearly mention the name of the post and category applied for.

The Indian Air Force has advised applicants to ensure timely dispatch of their forms, stating that it will not be responsible for postal delays. Applications received before the official advertisement publication or after the closing date will not be considered.
With the application window now open, eligible candidates are encouraged to complete the offline process well before the July 27 deadline to avoid last-minute delays.
